Job Description
- Play a key role in managing and improving aircraft technical documentation systems across the Qantas fleet
- Drive innovation through automation and digital transformation in aviation data management
- Permanent, full-time opportunity based at Qantas Corporate Campus in Mascot
We’re constantly evolving, and this means the opportunities for our people are endless. There’s opportunity to embrace personal development and career growth, own projects and make an impact. We understand our priorities and what needs to be delivered, taking the initiative to keep things moving. We bring teams and individuals together to deliver on our customers’ expectations.
As a Data Solution Developer, you’ll be part of the Engineering Data Publications and Projects (EDP) team, responsible for managing the systems and processes that handle critical aircraft documentation. This includes regulatory directives, OEM manuals, and Qantas-specific technical publications that ensure the safety, compliance, and operational readiness of our fleet.
You’ll also play a key role in developing data solutions that automate and improve how technical data is received, validated, published, and accessed across the business - supporting both engineering teams and broader operational functions. You will also be responsible for maintaining existing automation pipelines and trouble-shooting processes, with the ability to further develop automated data solutions.
You’ll have:
- 1 - 3 years of experience in data solutions development
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field (preferred)
- Experience with coding languages such as Python and Relational Database Management Systems (SQL)
- Familiarity with API technology and digital document publishing tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work both independently and collaboratively
- High computer literacy, including MS Office, Power Apps, and SharePoint
- Experience in airline operations (highly desirable)
- Knowledge of aviation documentation standards and regulatory compliance (desirable)

You’ll be supported from day 1 with on-the-job training and coaching as well as our formal training opportunities. While you may start in this role, we’ve got a great track record of supporting our people to take their career in so many different directions, the destinations are endless.
