About the School
Bringelly Public School has 116 enrolments and is a semi‑rural school in Southwest Sydney with a proud 145‑year history. Guided by our motto “Together We Grow,” we provide a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where every student is known, valued, and cared for.
Set on five hectares, the school includes a library, canteen, large sports field, multi‑purpose court, and playground. In 2026, Bringelly Public School will establish a new support unit, bringing the school to eight classes – five mainstream and three support classes. Our extensive outdoor learning areas include protected woodland and wetland environments under the Environment and Heritage Act, and the original 1897 classroom and schoolhouse remain treasured links to our heritage.
As part of the Macarthur School Network, our diverse community reflects strong harmony and inclusion, with 33% of students from language backgrounds other than English and 10.47% identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. We are committed to improving literacy and numeracy outcomes through high expectations, data‑driven teaching, and strong collaboration with parents.
Our situational analysis, developed with staff, students, families, community members, and the AECG, identified the need for continued focus on curriculum differentiation and explicit teaching to ensure targeted support and enrichment for all learners.
Bringelly Public School has a proud tradition of success in public speaking, sport, and creative arts, with regular participation in dance, choir, and PSSA competitions. Key cultural and commemorative events such as NAIDOC Week, Harmony Day, ANZAC Day, and Remembrance Day strengthen community connections. Camps and excursions closely tied to curriculum learning remain valued experiences supported by our dedicated families. The school continues to expand High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) opportunities across all stages to ensure every student can thrive.
