Purpose
The Marketing & Campaign Manager will lead the planning, development, and execution of brand campaigns and consumer promotions, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and brand positioning. This role involves managing external media agencies and working closely with our group digital team for effective media buying and maintaining a core media plan to track spend. Additionally, the Marketing & Campaign Manager will oversee strategic partnerships, local area marketing initiatives, talent and influencers and content creation while utilising customer insights to continuously improve marketing spend effectiveness. With a focus on budget management and team leadership, this position ensures successful campaign outcomes that enhance brand awareness and brand profitability.
This role is responsible for leading, inspiring and cultivating a high performing team that attracts and retains top talent.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead, develop and execute all Witchery campaigns (product and brand) including marketing briefs, campaign summary, creative production, media planning across all above the line channels, and post campaign reviews, ensuring campaigns meet performance expectations and key learnings are captured and applied to better the next campaign
- Support the execution of Loyalty strategies for the brand with a focus on acquisition, retention and reactivation of Witchery Rewards
- Lead the brands publicity strategy, working with external PR agencies, to create deep storytelling around the brand and key brand moments
- Lead the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation charity partnership and the development of the annual White Shirt Campaign including annual campaign strategy and objectives, comms strategy across all channels, creative development, publicity strategy, media planning across all channels and post campaign review
- Oversee the development and execution of Witchery’s seasonal marketing spend with David Jones and Myer partners including seasonal campaign strategy, creative development and channel planning
- Lead the influencer and talent strategy for the brand ensuring mass reach and engagement, positioning Witchery as the style authority
- Support the production process of campaign and social content shoots – product and brand – to ensure campaigns are delivered on time and on budget
- Lead the local area marketing strategy for the brand across VIP events, store openings and centre initiatives ensuring a positive ROI is delivered for each activity
- P&L Management of Brand Comms Marketing Budget ensuring budget forecast is up to date and managed accurately, budget processes are followed and completed in a timely manner
- Provide line management to the team, overseeing performance, development, and resource allocation to achieve departmental goals.
Key Capabilities
- A degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or a related field
- Extensive experience in a similar role, preferably within the retail industry, managing campaigns, brand comms, advertising, above the line media, content and influencers, partnerships and consumer insights
- A strong understanding and knowledge of media planning and buying
- Ability to work in a high pressure and fast paced environment whilst maintaining composure
- Strong leadership skills to motivate and retain a highly skilled team of employees.
