We are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Risk and Compliance Manager in a permanent full-time role. This position is located in Ringwood East.
About the role
This role will report to the Assistant Principal and be a key member of the OHS and Operational Risk Committee. The role is responsible for the day-to-day compliance responsibilities of the School and will deliver industry best practice, to maintain OHS, risk management and compliance-based frameworks.
We are seeking a professional manager who will deliver to the highest quality in a timely manner. In this position, you will be an OHS, compliance and risk expert, as well as embed a strong OHS and risk management culture across the School. This is an autonomous role with a significant opportunity to add value to the role and the School.
To apply for this position, you must have management experience in a similar managerial role. This is an exciting role that works closely with the leadership team and collaboratively with colleagues to deliver in the risk and compliance area.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day compliance responsibilities of the School and will deliver industry best practice to maintain OHS, risk management and compliance-based frameworks. This includes leading OHS, risk and compliance activities, reporting, and supporting the development of policy and governance processes.
Qualifications
- Worked at a management level with key stakeholders delivering best practice.
- Extensive knowledge and proven experience within an OHS, Risk and Compliance environment.
- Experience in OHS, risk and compliance reporting, and analysis with integrated software.
- Experience in development and implementation of appropriate OHS, Risk, Compliance and Policy reporting frameworks.
- Advanced knowledge and expertise in compliance, statutory law and regulations.
- Strong writing skills and experience preparing papers for Boards and relevant Committees.
- Strong and evident leadership skills, including effective relationship management.
- Innate ability to identify and analyse opportunities for continuous improvement.
- An enthusiastic, passionate, objective approach to the role
- Strong ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Risk Management, OHS, Business, or equivalent business management experience within a Risk and Compliance environment.
- Education and training experience within a school environment would be highly regarded.
