About the Role

As the Social Care Coordinator, you’ll lead and oversee the social care program at Mt St Vincent. Working closely with the General Manager and a passionate team of staff and volunteers, you’ll design and deliver engaging, resident focused programs that nurture wellbeing, creativity, and social connection.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and continually enhance social, emotional, and recreational programs tailored to residents’ interests and needs.

- Lead and support social care staff and volunteers in delivering high quality activities and experiences.

- Foster partnerships and connections with the local community, schools, and organisations.

- Facilitate resident meetings and encourage input in planning and program design.

- Maintain accurate records, program statistics, and resource inventories.

- Monitor and manage social care supplies and undertake audits as required.

- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and promote a culture of safety, respect, and inclusion.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

- Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (or similar qualification).

- Current National Police Check (or ability to obtain).

- Proficiency in computer and information management systems.

- Current First Aid Certificate.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable:

- Experience in aged care, dementia care, or therapeutic or recreational services.

- Membership with Diversional Therapy Australia.

- Experience providing complementary or creative therapies.
