Job Description The transformation you will experience: As a Planning & Investment Manager you will be spearheading the day-to-day running of client campaigns, crafting media plans that are well-reasoned, on-budget, and effective, delivering service and integrated media solutions that drives real business impact. You’re a detail-oriented operator who brings energy, receptiveness, and reliability to both client conversations and internal processes, representing the agencies beliefs and values. With growing confidence in media planning and client management, you’re starting to influence strategic informed choices while keeping campaign implementation smooth. Your scope will include: - Anticipate client needs, building long term relationships. Proactively drives the day-to-day relationship with client - Oversee and maintain client WIP and workflow requirements to ensure all disciplines are delivering on agreed outcomes and timelines - Track key business, campaign and media metrics. Keep client informed of campaign status - Setting the reporting framework and narrative with Investment & Activations (I&A) team to deliver informative and insightful client reports (competitive, PCA, pacing etc) in line with client Service Level Agreement - Ensure that clients are informed on general media industry topics which may affect their business - Accountable for implementation planning responses, ensuring the plans reflect the client business needs and media environment which maximise return on investment. - Apply relevant tools when interrogating the brief and translating into an implementation recommendation. - Provide an evidenced based planning response with relevant application of data and past campaign learning’s using the Zenith Planning process and templates as part of all client feedback - Consider all opportunities in implementation strategy and planning solutions across both digital and traditional channels. - Build and maintain 100% accurate media plan with consistent naming convention. Ensure all current client fees and charges are reflected. - Work with the I&A team to develop planning costs, performance and activation opportunities that deliver on the client’s objectives and business results. - Review outcomes of auditing and MMM results, and work with team to implement improvement recommendations if applicable - Work with the I&A team to prepare media owner briefs by suppling the right campaign background and strategic context. - Collaborate Sponsorship/Partnership briefing (Propel/Perfect) with I&A team. Before the brief is sent to media owners, consult and obtain sign-off from I&A team on partner selection, benchmarking and commercial opportunities, ensuring strategic context, evaluation criteria and rigour. - Review and assess media owner responses. Manage feedback process to ensure media owners receive constructive and timely feedback. - Grow the team’s commercial acumen and strategic planning experience by deepening their knowledge of client objectives, market dynamics, and how to develop insight-led, effective media solutions - Capable of making informed-choices in high-pressure environments. Looks to find solutions that result in win-win outcomes for everyone involved - Review budget reconciliation report and PO tracker to ensure that final spend does not exceed the planned costs - Ensure month-end invoicing is performed in a timely manner. Review pro-forma invoices summary and provide feedback where needed - Ensure invoices are sent to client via Speedsend or email, adhering to client financial process, and clarify any finance queries from client to minimise unpaid invoices - Oversee ad hoc finance request with client (pre-bill, expenditure reports), and I&A team - Provide client with required finance reports such as invoice summary, PO reconciliation, unpaid media invoice report, and APEX saving/value summary - Promote a professional work environment for you and your client group, respecting company policies - Collaborate and communicate effectively with other teams (Investment & Activation, Specialists, Interstate, PMX) - Actively participate in brainstorm, internal forums, team training and development to enhance craft knowledge and share learnings across teams, especially emerging connection opportunities - Driving Zenith’s profile in market by representing the agency in a positive manner, sharing agency news or thought leadership via your social networks - Actively participate in Sales Presentations, Training and Events organised by media owners and industry bodies What type of person will be successful in this role: - Currently working in a comparable role within Investment, Partnerships, or Planning. - Experience conducting performance campaigns on ATL Channels.
