The Opportunity

We’re looking for a skilled and forward‑thinking Data Engineer to lead and evolve our data platform — integrating, transforming, and delivering insights from SAP into Azure Data Lake and Microsoft Fabric.

This is a hands‑on role where you’ll manage data pipelines, optimise ETL/ELT processes, and enable the business to unlock powerful, AI‑driven insights through Power BI. You’ll be at the centre of King Living’s data ecosystem, ensuring our business decisions are supported by accurate, scalable, and intelligent analytics.

The Role

- Operate and enhance King Living’s Azure Data Lake ingestion process from SAP.

- Manage and optimise data pipelines across bronze, silver, and gold layers.

- Monitor and troubleshoot ETL/ELT processes to ensure reliability and performance.

- Maintain data quality, lineage, and governance across all layers of the platform.

- Design and develop Power BI dashboards and visualisations to deliver actionable insights.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to design effective BI models, reports, and data structures.

- Leverage AI features in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI to deliver predictive and automated insights.

- Continuously evolve the data platform to support scalability, performance, and modern data practices.

About You

- Proven experience in data engineering with Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse, or Fabric.

- Strong background in ETL/ELT pipelines, data modelling, and performance optimisation.

- Experience working with SAP data structures or integration tools.

- Proficient in SQL and scripting languages.

- Skilled in building and publishing Power BI datasets and reports.

- Understanding of Power BI governance, workspace management, and deployment best practices.

- Familiarity with AI capabilities in Fabric/Power BI (e.g., Copilot, predictive analytics).

- Experience with DevOps practices including CI/CD and version control (GitHub or Azure DevOps).

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for business teams.

Nice to Have

- Exposure to SAP HANA or other ERP systems.

- Experience with AI/ML models in practical business contexts.

- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
