About the Role

As a Senior Consultant in Consumer Insurance (CI) Strategy, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the development of the Consumer Insurance strategy, ensuring alignment with broader Enterprise strategy and goals

You’ll lead the development and delivery of hypothesis‑driven analysis, conduct market and competitor assessments, and prepare high‑impact presentations for senior stakeholders including the Executive Leadership Team and Board.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the Executive Manager and Principal, Consumer Insurance Strategy, with the development of Consumer Insurance strategy aligned with Group Strategy.

- Conduct market scans, competitor analysis, and commercial assessments.

- Deliver clear, data‑driven insights and recommendations.

- Prepare strategic reports and presentations for senior audiences.

- Support business planning activities and monitor progress against strategic milestones.

- Lead ad hoc strategic analysis including financial modelling, commercial analysis and opportunity assessments.

What You’ll Bring

- ~4 years’ experience in Corporate and/or Business Unit Strategy.

- Minimum 2 years in Strategy Consulting at a top‑tier firm (preferred).

- Insurance industry experience is a plus, but not essential.

- Intermediate analytical, financial, and strategic problem‑solving skills.

- Proven ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships.

- Intermediate and proven ability in strategic frameworks, first principles & structured problem‑solving, and valuation techniques.

- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and influencing skills.

- Proficient‑level writing (PowerPoint writing) and presentation skills for executive audiences

- Consumer Insurance Chief Executive and Leadership Team

- Enterprise Strategy

- Insurance Australia CFO

Reporting Line

This role reports to the Executive Manager, Consumer Insurance Strategy and works closely with senior leaders across Consumer Insurance, Enterprise Strategy, and Finance.
