About the Role
Start your nursing career as an Assistant in Nursing with CALHN, where you'll gain hands-on experience and build essential clinical skills in a supportive environment. We are looking for motivated individuals who are passionate about providing high-quality, person-centred care. To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team.
- A strong commitment to delivering person-centred care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Experience in providing nursing care within your scope of practice and in line with professional standards.
- A sound understanding of the Assistant in Nursing role, including relevant legislation, standards, and ethical guidelines.
Qualification Requirements
To be eligible for this role you will need to:
- Be currently enrolled as a student in a recognised and approved program of study, Bachelor of Nursing/Midwifery course, leading to registration as a registered nurse (level 1), with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia; AND
- Have completed any training required by the employer relevant to the safe and competent performance of work at this level; AND
- AIN 2nd Year: must have successfully completed the first year of undergraduate nursing degree; OR
- AIN 3rd Year: must have successfully completed the first and second year of undergraduate nursing degree; AND
- Hold a current student registration with Aphra in accordance with National Law; AND
- Be otherwise eligible for employment within SA Health.
