Due to an internal promotion We're looking for a passionate and proactive Ecological Restoration Coordinator to join our team at Transgrid. In this role, you’ll support the delivery of biodiversity enhancement initiatives and play a key part in building positive relationships with Traditional Owners, local communities, and our partners.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Ecological Restoration Lead in developing project plans to deliver biodiversity enhancement initiatives at Transgrid and partner sites
- Support the establishment and ongoing management of Biodiversity Stewardship Agreements, including contractor engagement, commissioning of works, budget management, reporting, and program evaluation
- Engage with external stakeholders – including Traditional Owners, local communities, land management providers, government agencies and not-for-profit organisations – to deliver ecological restoration programs
- Work closely with Transgrid’s Social Legacy team to support and train Traditional Owners in ecological management and restoration activities

About you

Qualifications & Experience

- Tertiary qualification at degree level in an environmental related discipline (e.g. natural resources, ecology), or relevant equivalent
- Experience in developing, specifying and/or delivering ecological management and restoration works
- On-ground works contract management experience
- High level of written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to self-manage, work under pressure and work in a team environment
- A willingness to develop project management systems
- Ability to work away from home (within NSW)
- Understanding and experience of biodiversity assessments and offsets under the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016
