The role:

Cater Care is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Chef Manager to lead the daily culinary operations at our aged care residence in Toronto, just a 35 minute drive from Newcastle, NSW . This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who is passionate about delivering an exceptional dining experience while ensuring a well-organised and efficient kitchen environment.

Job Description

Roster: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm

Key responsibilities:

- Dual responsibilities in food preparation/presentation and site management
- Ensuring compliance with food hygiene and safety practices
- Stock ordering, rotation, and stocktaking
- Assisting with bulk cooking operations
- Preparing and presenting texture-modified foods
- Participating in administrative and staff hiring, with support from the Operations Manager

Desired Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

- A trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
- A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Experience managing labour, food, and operational costs
- Previous experience in kitchen operations and/or site management
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Exceptional presentation, communication, time management & attention to detail
