The new Midwifery Annualised Salary Agreement (MASA) agreementfor Caseload Midwifery commenced 30 June 2025 and attracts a 40%annualization loading for caseload midwives - the equal highestrate in Australia. Please see attached the WA MASA andFAQ’s.

For all Endorsed midwives:

- Annual Endorsed Midwife allowance ($867)

The salary range would be reflective of the below;

- Registered Midwife (Level RN1) $132,150 - $154,613

- Clinical Midwife (RN Level 2) $156,727 - $167,738

- Clinical Midwife Specialist - Endorsed Midwife Caseload(SRN3) $197,192 and $199,943

The Country Nursing &Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nursesand midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles - onfixed term or permanent contracts at eligible locations. Eligiblenurses and midwives can receive between $5,000 and $17,000 insupport over 12 months. Please refer to the WA Country Health Service - Country Nursing and Midwifery IncentiveProgram website for eligibility criteria.

PositionProfile

- Midwife: The primary responsibility of the Midwife is to delivercomprehensive, evidence-based midwifery care for clients within thescope of practice of a Midwife. To provide clinical supervision forNewly Qualified Midwives and students, dependant on level ofexperience.

- Midwife –Caseload: To provide competent, holistic, evidence-basedmidwifery care within the scope of a Midwife, within a caseloadmodel of care (known as Midwife Group Practice). Providescontinuity of midwifery care throughout the continuum of pregnancy,labour, birth, and the postnatal period.

The occupant of thisposition is required to demonstrate a positive commitment tomodelling our organisational values, safety and quality improvementand the Code of Conduct in all aspects of their employment.Compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, standards andlegislation including Confidentiality and Work Health and Safetypolicies is mandatory.
