Informatica MDM Consultant

Roles and Responsibilities

- Lead and support end‑to‑end Informatica MDM projects.

- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and design MDM solutions.

- Configure and customize Informatica MDM platform including data models, match/merge rules, survivorship, workflows, and integrations.

- Configure and maintain IDQ application for MDM integration and Data quality rules.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Informatica MDM configurations and performance.

- Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand and resolve data‑related issues.

- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.

- Support data onboarding, cleansing, and enrichment processes.

- Participate in change management and release cycles.

Skill / Competencies / Experience

ESSENTIAL

- 3+ years of experience in Informatica MDM (Hub, IDD, SIF APIs, C360).

- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and master data domains (e.g., customer, product, supplier).

- Strong understanding of MDM concepts including data modeling, entity resolution, hierarchy management, and data governance.

- Hands‑on Experience on Informatica Data Quality, ETL.

- Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, and data profiling tools.

- Familiarity with integration tools (e.g., REST APIs, Informatica PowerCenter).

- Knowledge of incident management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA).

- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).

- Good communication and documentation skills.

- Ability to work in 24x7 support environments (if required).

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Informatica MDM SaaS on IDMC platform.

- Exposure to cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.

- Basic understanding of Agile and DevOps practices.

- Good expertise in impact analysis due to changes or issues.

- Analyze & Validate data to suggest & maintain data quality Rules.

- Knowledge of large data sets and experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting.

- Hands‑on development, with a willingness to troubleshoot and solve complex problems.

ADDITIONAL

- Excellent customer facing skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong attention to detail and outstanding analytical and problem‑solving skills.
