Primary objective
The Coordinator, CDP Engagement is responsible for embracing a holistic response which empowers Aboriginal people through self-determined pathways that build community, individual capacity and meaningful work in accordance with Central Desert Regional Council strategic and regional plans, policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
The role contributes to a team embedded in one of CDRC’s Remote communities to deliver case management, support, activities and employment outcomes and works with individuals in the community to create place based solutions that achieve training and employment outcomes and activities which contribute to the life and fabric of the community.
About us
Central Desert Regional Council is a local government authority covering an area over 282,000 Sq. kilometres. The Council provides a range of services in 12 communities to the North of Alice Springs: Lajamanu, Ti tree, Wilora, Nturiya, Pmara Jutunta, Willowra, Laramba, Nyirripi, Yuelamu, Atitjere, Engawala and Yuendumu. There are also several homelands and outstations. The Central Desert area is considered remote and disadvantaged and over 80% of the population are Indigenous people.
What/'s on offer?
Generous total remuneration package(Level 6: Base Salary: $84,246.43, Package: 96,261.26).
- 6 weeks’ Annual Leave accrued per year.
- 12 public holiday days per year.
- 1 additional holiday for NAIDOC day.
- 3 additional days between Christmas and New Year/'s.
- 15 days Personal Leave accrued per year.
- Additional remote location allowance of $3,000 per annum.
- Subsided accommodation as from $40.00 per week plus utilities.
