About the opportunity
The Coach plays a vital role in delivering Help’s Employment Services Strategy, helping people with disability achieve and maintain sustainable, ongoing employment. This role supports participants through their full employment journey—building work readiness, addressing barriers, developing tailored plans that support their goals, and marketing participants to employers. The Coach also provides ongoing mentoring once participants commence work, offering guidance, practical assistance, and problem-solving support to both participants and employers. By working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders, the Coach helps strengthen job retention, resolve workplace challenges, and ensure participants have the support they need to succeed long-term.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure each participants’ individual needs and aspirations for employment are at the centre of your focus
- Effectively support a caseload of participants, by providing support, guidance, and direction
- Achieve individual and team KPIs in line with the Inclusive Employment Australia Deed and Help Enterprises requirements.
- Deliver coaching and support to participants in line with the Help Service Delivery Model
- Build rapport and trust with participants, developing tailored Action Plans based on strengths, goals, and support needs.
- Connect participants with internal and external training, qualifications, and support services to address vocational and non-vocational needs
- Monitor participant and placement progress, including 4, 12, 26, and 52-week milestones, reporting risks promptly to relevant team members.
- Work collaboratively with Business Inclusion Specialists to engage with inclusive employers and identify tailored job opportunities.
- Create sustainable job opportunities and career paths for participants via relationships with local employers
- Support employers with inclusive practices and work adjustments, fostering a disability-confident workplace.
This is a Full-Time position based at:St George - Sutherland Region including travel between sites
About you
You care about people and want a job that makes a difference. We are seeking motivated and values driven individuals to join our Inclusive Employment Australia division as a Coach. Your care and dedication to each participant will be evident by the hard work you put in:
- Prior Employment Services experience will be highly regarded
- Strong customer service and relationship building skills through reverse marketing activities, sales and cold calling
- Demonstrated ability working towards targets and KPIs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem solving and conflict resolution
- Strong administration and computer skills – ability to learn technical systems
- Resilient in nature and ability to thrive in a continuously changing environment
