The Regional Planning and Project Controls team has an exciting, permanent, full-time (AS4) opportunity for suitably experienced Project Support Officer with strong stakeholder and collaboration skills to join the team and support our wider Regional Project Delivery teams.

About the role

Our Project Support Officer role will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to develop or enhance their skills working within a dynamic support team. The team undertake project specific financial management and other project control activities across the entire Regional Project Delivery portfolio. This includes:

- Use of cost management tools and the SAP system – including updating and maintaining project Cost Plans

- Maintain and finalise all financial management activities for assigned projects – includes purchase orders, work orders, requisitions, budget allocations, invoicing, goods receipting, accruals, cost analysis, labour reports and corrections

- Generate project reporting, interpret project financial and performance information

- Assist in preparing documents for asset transfers

- Liaise with project team personnel, management, internal and external service providers and other stakeholders in the preparation of project financial activities

What you can bring to the role

- High level of skill in providing project controls / financial management / administrative services and support

- High level of stakeholder management, interpersonal and communication skills

- High level of attention to detail and organisation skills, working to meet corporate deadlines

- Substantial level of skill with contemporary office software, including Microsoft Word and Excel

- Substantial level of skill in working in a team environment

- Knowledge of and willingness to commit to and work within Queensland Rail's Values and Behaviours
