- Experience with Tech One Financial Systems

- Demonstrated experience of WA public sector reporting processes including knowledge of the Financial Management Act 2006 and Treasurer's Instructions.

Description

This position is responsible for coordinating the development, maintenance and administration of the Department’s financial system – Technology One and end user support functions. The position coordinates the provision of financial system training material and maintains system documentation.

- Providing information, suggestions and feedback relevant to the role in providing advice on the financial system implications of financial system risks to the Department’s current and projected services.

- Provide support to internal and external stakeholders in addressing the business requirements of the Organisation, from a financial systems management perspective.

- Review, investigate and report on accounting systems and financial management system practices and procedures to ensure best practices are addressed to meet the Department's requirements.

- Drafting of user documentation and training materials and providing training on the financial system.

- Support any investigation into troubleshooting or ad-hoc issues with and within the Technology One financial system for continuous improvement.

- Prepare Reconciliation of modules and ledgers in Technology One and with subsidiary packages and interfaced systems (e.g. Aurion, Active Directory) as directed by the Financial system manager.

- Prepare response to financial system audit enquiries as directed and provide detailed meaningful information upon request.

- Liaising with the staff of the Office of the Auditor General and facilitates and supports external and internal audit processes.

The department will conduct a national police check before offering employment.
