You will be working for one of the fastest growing IT consulting firms in Australia. The company has a team of more than 150 consultants spread across various clients. You will be working for one of our clients on a full-time basis.
About the role
You will have the opportunity to work with one of the largest companies in Australia based in Sydney.
Responsibilities of the position include:
1. Preparing reports, budgets, commentaries, and financial statements.
2. Generating financial reports that display the company's profits, equity, and cash flow.
3. Reconciliations of loan accounts, general clearing accounts, and wage and super reports.
4. Undertaking financial administration and internal audits to maintain compliance.
5. Liaising with managerial staff and other colleagues.
6. Supervising a team of accounting technicians.
7. Developing and managing financial systems/policies.
8. Negotiating and obtaining finance for major projects.
9. Controlling and forecasting income and expenditure.
10. Creating business strategies to generate shareholder value.
11. Analysing data collected in order to determine the state of the company's financial health.
12. Examining the proficiency of the software programs used to organise data.
13. Supervising payroll officer and/or bookkeeper with tasks and accounting matters.
To be considered for this role you will have:
1. Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position.
2. Qualification in Accounting at bachelor's degree level or higher.
3. Proficiency in English.
4. Experience in a high-volume environment preferably dealing with multiple entities.
5. Competent in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, and exposure to multi-level accounting packages and online banking platforms is essential.
6. High level of attention to detail.
7. Strong analytical skills.
8. Ability to analyse and solve problems.
9. Independent, proactive, and able to multi-task.
