+61: A CREATIVE PARTNERSHIP
+61 is a creative partnership, built to make better things. Powered by TBWA, Bear Meets Eagle On Fire, OMD and Telstra.
The successful applicant for this role will be a part of +61, but an employee of TBWA Sydney.
THE BUSINESS DIRECTOR ROLE
+61 Business Management is responsible for making space for the work.
A Business Director at +61:
- SITS AT THE CENTRE OF EVERYTHING. You’re able to see the big picture and influence the agenda, whilst being close enough to the day-to-day to act on specifics of projects.
- DIRECTS PROCESSES WITH CLARITY. You inspire confidence with your knowledge of agency processes and precision in planning ahead.
- EFFECTIVE IN YOUR WORK. You cultivate a deep understanding of the client business and client relationships. You’re key to shaping briefs, creative responses and plans for production.
- ACTION-ORIENTED BY DEFAULT. All meaningful engagements are followed up on. From client meetings to internal reviews. You take action, swiftly clarifying the pathway and dealing with problems before they arise.
- SKILLED FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATOR. Judicious of agency financials, including excellent budget management and a proficiency in scope development, with oversight from a Client Partner.
- STRATEGIC AND ACCOUNTABLE. You drive the process for the good of the work. You’re confident discussing strategy and voicing your point-of-view, informed by a deep understanding of the client and the project.
- BRINGS A LEARNER’S MINDSET. Always mining for more context, data and insights from desktop research, and from client and agency partners.
- FEARLESS IN QUESTIONING AND INTENT. You seek a deep understanding of the client business and subject matter of the brief.
- A CHAMPION OF CRAFT. You expertly guide the production process, protecting the integrity of an idea through delivery.
- DEMONSTRATIVE ABOUT GREAT WORK. You contribute to a creative culture, inspiring and pushing for brave work.
- GENEROUS MANAGER OF DIRECT REPORTS. Aiding in the development of Business Managers and Business Executives.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Skills:
- 5-6 years’ experience in a similar agency role.
- Ability to work and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Exceptional organisation and ability to think critically.
- Strong experience managing financial processes.
You:
- Are driven by a desire to create great work.
- Understand the big picture, but aren’t afraid of the finer details.
- Curious, proactive and highly collaborative.
WHAT LIFE IS LIKE AT +61
Our ambition is to create work that’s hard to ignore.
We aim higher and care harder.
We embrace four shared values across the partnership.
- UNCOMMON DECENCY. Having deep respect for each other and the value we both bring. The importance of placing empathy over opinion. Feedback goes both ways and decency is our compass.
- LET THE CHAOS IN. Order is the enemy of originality. In the outside world there is beauty and complexity. A profound understanding of culture will fuel the best work if we let it in.
- NOTHING HIDDEN. Openness and transparency will build trust. A culture where everyone feels brave enough to say anything. No hidden agendas, because you can’t manage secrets.
- POSITIVELY PROVOCATIVE. If our relationship isn’t provocative, it isn’t very deep, lasting or compelling. We want to invite debate, because if we don’t provoke one another, we’ll quickly become familiar and stale.
