Overview
Join our growing Business Development team at Beca
Our Business Development (BD) team focuses on the heart of our business: clients. We provide advice to all levels of our organisation on how to engage with clients to “See More, Win More and Deliver Better”. As part of our team, you will find BD embedded in everything we do and will become a valuable collaborator across a diverse commercial business. Supported by a global BD team, you will have the opportunity to achieve your career aspirations and the flexibility to specialise over time, in an area of BD you are passionate about.
The Opportunity
As our Australian business grows, so is our team and presence in the market. This is a newly created role and a unique opportunity for someone who wants to learn the bid process.
We are looking for a Bid Administrator to join our team. On a day-to-day basis, you will assist the Bid Coordinator and Advisor with the coordination, preparation, and submission of tenders, expressions of interest, and capability statements in Australia. You’ll help manage access to online tender portals, support formatting and proofreading of documents, and ensure responses meet quality standards. We work hard but have fun along the way. Like everyone at Beca, we stay true to our values of partnership, tenacity, enjoyment, and care.
Based in Adelaide or Newcastle, you’ll support our Australian Water business, Beca HunterH2O, throughout the lifecycle of a pursuit. Your responsibilities will include scheduling internal review reminders, tracking new opportunities, and helping to organise bid content within our systems. You’ll also assist with sales generation activities and provide general administrative support such as travel bookings, workshop setups, and event logistics—making sure everything runs smoothly and aligns with Beca’s standards.
With no two bids the same, you’ll play an important role in keeping our bid responses organised and consistent. You’ll work closely with our marketing, communications, and graphic teams to ensure all documentation reflects Beca’s brand. You’ll also support business development and client relationship activities, escalate complex enquiries to senior colleagues, and contribute to special projects when needed. A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn will help you succeed in this role.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic, high-energy, and creative team that thinks outside the box and connects the dots across the business. Having the right attitude and a willingness to learn is key, as we look to develop solutions and innovative ways to drive our business forward.
About You
If you have a background in administration—whether as a team assistant, project administrator, or in a similar role—and are looking to take your first step into the world of business development, we’d love to hear from you At Beca, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your skills, contribute to exciting projects, and be part of a team that values learning, collaboration, and making a real impact.
We are looking for someone who is tenacious, confident and a collaborative team player – someone willing to learn. You will bring a positive, proactive attitude and enjoy juggling multiple priorities. You will need to be a capable writer with strong communication and influencing skills. Exceptional attention to detail, relationship building skills and a drive to get things done within tight timeframes will lead you to success in this role.
We value authenticity and we want you to bring your whole self to work.
