The role

What you can expect from a day in this role:

In this role you will support the Food & Beverage Manager and will work with the team to ensure that each guest receives individually tailored professional service. You will manage food & beverage operations, liaise with key stakeholders and assist with staff training and development.

Responsibilities

- Assisting the Food & Beverage Manager in day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar

- Working closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to create wine matching for meals

- Maintaining a constant focus on providing excellent guest experience at all times

- Lead, mentor and train the food & beverage team, ensuring a positive working environment

- Supporting the recruiting and onboarding of new team members

- Handling ordering and overseeing inventory management

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a Luxury Lodge environment or similar

- Minimum 2 years supervisory or management experience

- Strong focus on staff training and development

- Excellent food and wine knowledge

- Strong interpersonal and people skills

- Flexibility and reliability to work across a variety of shifts

- A desire to learn, develop and continuously improve

- Vehicle and drivers/' licence (preferred), or other modes of accessibility to the property
