How you will make an impact
Reporting to the Managing Consultant, the Senior Consultant engages with customers to solve their most challenging cloud and security problems, protect their future, and empower them to thrive in an uncertain world. The Senior Consultant is an experienced cloud infrastructure professional capable of leading client meetings and producing high-quality deliverables with minimal supervision.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Work with our customers to deliver Amazon Web Services (AWS) security and compliance projects in line with the agreed scope, CyberCX standards, and relevant industry standards or frameworks
- Provide the very best subject matter expertise and advice to our customers
- Work through customer specifications and liaise with architects to develop solutions in line with defined requirements – design and/or implement technical solutions
- Author documentation to the highest standard, producing high-quality reports and presentations for customer stakeholders
- Facilitate customer meetings and workshops
- Manage customer expectations, communicate effectively, and develop professional relationships with stakeholders
- Participate in the development of intellectual property and repeatable solutions
- Actively collaborate across the various practices within CyberCX, and continuously look for ways to add value
- Facilitate communication, partnerships, and cross-pollination across the business to allow teams to better engage and service customers
- Contribute to a culture of empowerment, collaboration, and accountability through consistent employee engagement
Skills & Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or a related discipline and/or equivalent industry experience
- Relevant intermediate or expert level certification and/or proven hands-on experience with AWS
- At least 3 years’ experience in implementing and/or supporting cloud services, ideally in a global consulting firm or large technology company
- Experience with multi-cloud environments and hybrid cloud solutions
- Understanding of cloud security principles, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), encryption, firewalls, and security best practices
- Experience with migrating workloads to AWS and/or VMC on AWS
- Solid experience working with Unix and Windows workloads
- Solid understanding of networking and cloud connectivity
- Understanding of automation, DevSecOps toolchains, Infrastructure as Code and scripting languages such as Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation, Python, Bash or PowerShell to automate cloud deployments and optimize operations
- Preferably, experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker, ECS, and EKS
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to customers and internal teams
