About the opportunity

The In-Work Support Mentor (IWSM) plays a vital role in supporting individuals to maintain sustainable employment outcomes. This position focuses on providing ongoing mentoring, guidance, and practical assistance to both participants and employers to help resolve workplace challenges, strengthen retention, and promote long-term success. The IWSM works collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure participants have the support they need to thrive in their roles and achieve their employment goals.

Your key responsibilities are:

- Ensure each participants' individual needs and aspirations for employment are at the center of your focus
- Provide tailored post-placement and on-the-job support to participants to help them maintain sustainable employment.
- Mentor participants and offer specialised assistance to address workplace or personal barriers.
- Actively engage with the local community, industries, and stakeholders to identify growth and revenue opportunities for the organisation.
- Monitor placement progress and outcomes and communicate any risks to relevant team members.
- Run and analyse participants' reported hours and income, supporting accurate reporting and compliance
- Maintain clear and compliant records of participants ongoing employment, services provided, and participant support
- Communicate proactively with team members regarding any job loss, potential job loss, or significant reduction in hours, and act quickly to resolve issues.
- Represent and promote Help Employment at networking events and within the community, upholding the organisation's Mission, Vision, and Values.

This position is Full-Time operating in the following areas: Rockdale, Hurstville, Miranda and the wider St George Sutherland region

The role will commence through October/November

- Prior Employment Services experience will be highly regarded

- Problem solving and conflict resolution
- Strong administration and compliance capabilities with a high attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability working towards targets and KPIs
- Resilient in nature and ability to thrive in a continuously changing environment
