About the role:
The Engineering Manager (OutSystems) is responsible for leading the design, development, and continuous improvement of the company’s suite of products, with a strong hands-on focus on OutSystems development. This role combines advanced technical expertise with team leadership, mentoring, and collaboration to ensure delivery excellence and alignment with business objectives.

A typical day in this role might look like:
- Lead and contribute to the day-to-day design, development, and maintenance of applications built using OutSystems and integrated high-code technologies such as Vue, JavaScript, and Laravel.
- Drive best practices in OutSystems development and promote high standards of software quality and maintainability across the team.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software engineers, supporting their professional growth and guiding them through complex technical challenges.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Technical Leads, and cross-functional teams to plan and deliver project milestones and team OKRs.
- Contribute to system architecture and design discussions, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with company standards.
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and performance feedback processes for engineers, maintaining a focus on team capability and delivery excellence.
- Identify opportunities for process and workflow optimisation within the engineering function.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, particularly within the OutSystems ecosystem, and apply relevant innovations to improve product outcomes.

Who/what are we looking for?
- Extensive hands-on experience in OutSystems development, including both platform and system integration work.
- Proficiency in high-code technologies such as JavaScript, Vue, and Laravel.
- Strong understanding of software development principles, architecture, and agile delivery methods.
- Proven experience mentoring or leading software engineers within a development team.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance hands-on technical contributions with leadership and coordination responsibilities.
