The Opportunity

We are seeking multiple Trainee Asset Inspectors to join our trainee program. In this traineeship you will obtain industry skills and knowledge while under the Supervision of qualified and experienced Asset Inspector.

Zinfra Trainees are required to complete components of their training online in addition to on the job workplace and worksite rotations. At the end of the program, the successful Trainee will have completed all competencies for a Cert II Asset Inspector.

During the program, you will be a valued member of our team and will experience a variety of work environments within the electricity supply industry which will enhance your skills and career development opportunities.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Execute all works allied with asset inspection programs within timeframes, to budget and in a safe manner as engaged.
- Proficient in the use of digital equipment and software. (digital camera, phone, tablet)
- Ensuring that all equipment including vehicles, plant and materials are in a clean, well maintained and good working order.
- Deliver timely reporting as required on the progress of projects, quality standards and work practices as required to both management and its customers (includes taking photos of defects and structure and system updates).
- Actively participate in and be accountable for personal and team members health, safety and general wellbeing.

What We’re Looking For

- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Certificate II or III in Electrotechnology is desirable
- A good positive attitude and a willingness to work as a team will no doubt see you succeed in your new role
- Either have a current drivers licence or have obtained a drivers licence by January 2026
