SLR Consulting Darwin is currently looking for a Casual Environmental Consultant to assist with Northern Territory EIA’s with our established team based in Darwin. The team delivers strategic advice, environmental impact assessments, and approvals to multiple sectors across Australia.

We expect the casual opportunity to run for around 6 months, with options for candidates looking to work 3-5 days per week. This role is flexible based on the successful candidate's preferred working arrangement and the needs of our clients’ projects.

Key Responsibilities
As a member of the Environmental Impact Assessment team, you will support delivery of a range of projects. You will be responsible for the following:

1. Supporting the delivery of environmental impact assessments and approvals in the NT
2. Delivering the best possible outcome for clients with a focus on quality
3. Assisting with preparing fee proposals and high-quality reports
4. Preparing environmental approvals documentation

Experience
Along with a “One Team” mentality, you will also possess the following skills:

1. A professional qualification in environmental science, environmental planning, engineering, or other relevant degree
2. 2-6 years' experience at a professional level, ideally in consulting
3. Must have at least 2 years’ experience specifically with Northern Territory EIA’s
4. Experience delivering environmental effects assessments and approvals
5. Demonstrated knowledge of environmental approval processes
6. Demonstrated experience working in multidisciplinary project teams
7. Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables on competing timeframes
8. A clear, concise, and professional writing style
