About the Practice
Our Sydney Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Bondi Junction practice is part of the ever-growing Bupa network of dental, optical and health insurance practices and stores.
The practice has been well established in the local community, servicing the Bondi area for over 20 years. Our team of individual surgeons works cohesively to deliver the best possible care to our patients and is well known for providing exceptional services including oral surgery, oral medicine and pathology, dental implants, oral procedures, TMJ disorders, cranio‑maxillofacial procedures, corrective jaw surgery, facial trauma, and more.
We are a solid, close‑knit and stable team looking for an experienced dual role dental assistant/receptionist to support our passionate clinicians and colleagues.
The Opportunity
We have a versatile, exciting and rewarding opportunity for a casual dual role dental assistant/receptionist at our Sydney Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Bondi Junction practice.
Responsibilities
- Utilise your skills in a specialist clinic.
- Friendly, fun and dedicated team environment.
- Convenient location.
- Maintain our amazing customer and team culture by providing excellent customer service to our patients.
- Prepare patients and facilities for dental treatment.
- Deliver quality chairside assistance to our dentists.
- Coordinate treatments.
- Provide instrument sterilisation.
- Maintain infection control standards and procedures.
- Meet and greet patients, providing a great first impression.
- Book and amend appointments, answer phone calls, and update patient records.
- Inform patients about dental services and offers.
- Handle payments.
- Access sensitive information while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Build and maintain relationships with all clients in a friendly and warm manner.
You'll be
- Ideally 1+ years’ experience in a similar role.
- Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting highly regarded (though not mandatory).
- A motivated self‑starter in a fast‑paced and dynamic role.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passionate about customer service and patient care.
- Organised with attention to detail.
- Ability to build rapport with patients in a cheerful, light‑hearted manner.
