Posted: 17/10/2025

- Join one of WA's largest and industry leading disability service providers

- Excellent hands-on training provided and ongoing professional development

- Salary packaging (up to $18,550) + other fantastic benefits & incentives

Are you a caring, compassionate individual who thrives on helping others live their best lives?

Join MSWA – one of WA’s leading disability service providers – and make an impact as a Community Support Worker. With casual opportunities on offer across our Great Southern region, you can be the difference for people living with neurological conditions.

Our Community Support Workers play a crucial role in delivering person-centered care and support in our client’s homes across the metro area. We know the difference a great client experience can make, and we want you to bring your skills and experience to improve the lives of our clients.

Whilst in the client’s home, there will be key responsibilities that you’ll ace such as:

- Providing personal support and assistance with daily tasks such as personal care, meal preparation and simple household tasks (the small stuff makes a huge difference)

- Medication administration and assistance.

- Supporting social access and participation such as taking clients to appointments and helping them pursue social/leisure activities.

- Supporting the unique needs of the client by following their individualised care plans and helping them achieve their defined goals.

- Maintaining accurate and detailed records to ensure open and clear communication with families and your team.

- There will also be some uncommon activities you may encounter – such as perfecting the fine art of a nice cuppa.

This is a casual role based around the Great Southern region. We are looking for availability weekdays and weekends between 6:00am-10:00pm.

Our ‘must’ haves:

- A heart for helping and a passion for making a difference.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills – both written and verbal.

- Ability to assist someone with their day-to-day activities.

- NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to obtain – we can help there if required.)

- Current Australian “C” Class Drivers Licence with no restrictions.

- A reliable, roadworthy, licensed and fully insured vehicle.

- Availability to attend our paid compulsory 2-week orientation/ training program to help you get started at our service centre in Albany Monday-Friday 8am – 4.00pm.

Our ‘nice to’ haves:

- A current Provide First Aid and CPR certificate – less than 12 months old (training can be provided.)

- A Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Disability or Aging.

A little about us: We exist to make a real and lasting difference to the lives of Western Australians – whatever their needs, whatever their neuro condition. From in-home support to cutting edge neuro research, our work touches thousands of lives across the state.

Let us tell you a little about what you’ll get in return for joining our team:

- Competitive hourly rate based on your experience and qualifications.

- Salary Packaging to boost your take-home pay and receive savings up to a maximum of $18,550 per annum.

- Growth Opportunities to help you grow and develop in your role.

- Generous Leave Benefits including leave loading, parental leave, blood donor leave, and grandparents leave, among others.

- Exclusive Discounts on retail, health and lifestyle brands.

- Health and Wellbeing Support through Employee Assistance Program and healthcare provider discounts.

Ready to join us?

We believe your story is more than just a resume. That’s why we’ve partnered with VERVO to give you a chance to show us your skills through a short, interactive assessment. Once you apply, you'll be guided through the assessment, giving you a chance to understand the role of a Support Worker.
