Ravenswood School for Girls is a Uniting Church Prep to Year 12 day and boarding school for girls located on Sydney’s North Shore. Position Overview:
Ravenswood is seeking a motivated and experienced Head Coach of Athletics and Cross-Country to lead and manage the school’s athletics, cross-country, and Strength and Conditioning Centre (SCC) programs. This permanent, full-time role involves coaching, administration, team selection, event coordination, and overseeing student training and competition. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs, managing school carnivals, and ensuring the safe use of the SCC facilities. The position is ideally set to commence at the beginning of Term 1, 2025.
We are looking for an individual with a proven track record in coaching, experience managing athletics and cross-country programs, and strong leadership skills. The role requires availability for weekday afternoons and some weekends for training and competitions.
Qualifications:
1. Athletics Australia Track and Field Coaching accreditation
2. Certificate 3 and 4 in Fitness and/or ASCA Strength and Conditioning Level 1 or equivalent
3. Current Senior First Aid Certificate
4. Driver’s Licence (bus licence preferred)
5. Strong organisational and communication skills
