The Role

Adbri is seeking a dynamic National Strategic Quarry Planning Manager who is responsible for overseeing the tactical planning and oversight of quarry and mine operations and rehabilitation programs, in conjunction with Adbri's Property Optimisation Strategy. This highly strategic role will focus on the commercial and operationally efficient extraction of resources, with considerable co-ordination and forward planning across the business and a key focus on planning approvals and end of life rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee the development and management of short-term and long-term quarry reserve planning to meet future and current production targets.
2. Oversee reporting on geological assessments and work with consultants to identify areas for extraction.
3. Oversee design and implementation of quarry layouts and resource extraction plans.
4. Co-ordinate with the Environmental and Compliance team where required, to ensure compliance with all local and state regulations, including environmental and safety standards.
5. Pro-actively prepare, coordinate and submit required approvals, reports, permits, and documentation to regulatory bodies.
6. Work effectively with site and state managers to plan and align upcoming project approvals with preferred timing and budget constraints, whilst identifying opportunities for site consolidation / co-location and progressive rehabilitation (where appropriate).

What you will need to succeed

1. Minimum of 7 years in quarry or mining operations, with at least 5 years in a management role.
2. Strong understanding of quarry reserves planning, environmental management, and regulatory compliance in the mining and quarry sectors.
3. Proven experience in managing large-scale, multi-site operations and leading teams across multiple locations.
4. Extensive knowledge of quarry and mining planning legislation and regulatory compliance, preferably across multiple states.
5. Strong strategic project management and planning knowledge with skill in their application.
