Overview
Finance Business Partner (6-month fixed term) - (2500006C). Full-time | Fixed Term. Primary Location: Level 16, 727 Collins St, Docklands 3008, AU-VIC-Docklands. This role is based in Melbourne with hybrid work-from-home options.

The role
We currently have an opportunity to join our Finance team as Finance Business Partner in a 6-month fixed term position. This opportunity is open to work from our Melbourne office in conjunction with our hybrid work from home options. This role works in partnership with the Acenda Finance team, wider business, and Nippon Life to analyse and provide timely information around expenses and broader performance metrics to key functions of the Acenda business. In doing this, there will be stakeholder engagement and reporting of insightful and timely expense and performance information to enable decision making across the broader organisation.
Responsibilities
- Supporting delivery of month end, including journals, reconciliations and preparation of monthly reporting on expenses to key functions within the business
- Develop and broaden connection to full operational and performance metrics relevant to each stakeholder
- Production of key analytical insights which are communicated clearly to stakeholders
- Complete budgeting, forecasts and reporting for Technology function within Acenda
- Observe and create a strong understanding of Acenda’s products and operational procedures
- Proactively manage risk; meet all policy and compliance requirements; perform controls; adhere to Process and Procedures pertinent to role; and escalate events, issues or breaches as they are identified (risk accountability forms part of all roles, as everyone is responsible for managing risk and compliance).
About you
- Tertiary qualification relevant to the role
- CA or CPA qualification
- 1-3 years’ experience within Finance industry (Life Insurance sector highly sought after)
- Ability to build effective relationships across all levels of an organisation
- Ability to work across different language/cultural and organisational styles
- Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously
