About the role

The Assistant Community Corrections Officer reports to the Team Leader ACC and undertakes monitoring of offenders subject to a low risk regime. The role supports other members of the Case Management Team to ensure offender compliance with orders, including monitoring attendance at community work and program activities and managing electronic monitoring equipment.

The role includes:

- Providing management, oversight and monitoring of offenders and defendants subject to community work requirements to facilitate successful completion of orders.

- Conducting approved processes, including home visits, to monitor compliance of selected offenders on the low‑risk regime and those residing interstate.

- Liaising and negotiating with community stakeholders regarding safety matters and in order to recruit and maintain community work projects.

- Installing and collecting electronic monitoring equipment at offenders’ premises or prisons.

- Traveling regionally and remotely for those preferring a position outside metropolitan areas.

- Holding a valid driver’s licence.

About you

You will need to build productive relationships while exemplifying personal integrity and self‑awareness. Working in a team, you must demonstrate effective verbal and non‑verbal communication and influence others effectively.

Eligibility: You must be an Australian citizen or hold permanent residency status in Australia. Fixed‑term appointments require documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the contract duration. All employees undergo employment screening, including a National Criminal History Check.

Pool Recruitment
