We have a fantastic opportunity for a Quality and Safety Manager to join our Recycling Division, playing a key role in ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) standards while driving continuous improvement across our operations.

The Opportunity

As a Quality and Safety Manager, you will oversee all HSEQ activities across New South Wales and Queensland ensuring compliance with company policies, legislation, and industry standards. You will work closely with production teams, senior management, and customers to enhance safety and quality standards, manage compliance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and maintain ISO 9001 certification and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) compliance.
- Manage quality assurance and control processes to minimise product impact and customer complaints.
- Oversee incident reporting in Visy Incident Management System (VIMS) and Noggin for safety and environmental compliance.
- Conduct HSEQ audits, implement corrective actions, and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Collaborate with production teams to improve quality, reduce spoilage, and optimise held stock levels.
- Promote a zero-incident safety culture through awareness programs and training.
- Work closely with customers/Suppliers to address concerns, ensure compliance, and support label development.

What You Will Bring to the Team

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in HSEQ roles within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong background in ISO 9001, GMP, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Experience in managing customer/supplier complaints and quality improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of ISO 4801, 45001, and regulatory compliance in workplace health and safety.
- Leadership skills with the ability to influence and mentor teams in quality and safety.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to drive HSEQ improvements.
- Certifications in Work Health and Safety (WHS), Risk Assessment, and Document Control.
- Desirable: Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) and HACCP certification.
