The Opportunity

We’re looking for a casual Housekeeping Assistant to help keep our hospital safe, clean, and welcoming for patients, visitors, and staff. In this role, you’ll contribute to the smooth operation of the hospital by maintaining our high standards of hygiene and cleanliness across all areas.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain patient rooms, wards, and common areas to the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene.

- Make patient beds and manage linen distribution efficiently.

- Clean, restock, and correctly store equipment in line with hospital protocols.

- Work collaboratively within a friendly and supportive team environment.

- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and colleagues to support shared goals and patient care standards.

About You

To succeed in this role, you’ll demonstrate a strong work ethic, showing punctuality, integrity, respect for others, and a commitment to maintaining high professional standards.

- Experience in a healthcare/hospital setting will be highly regarded.

- Must be available over a 7 day rostering period. From the hours of 7 am for morning shift and late finish of 11 pm (occasional).

- Proven ability to work effectively in a team structure and independently as required.

- Acting in a professional manner at all times when dealing with customers and staff.

- A ‘can do’ attitude with a friendly disposition.

- Full training will be provided.

Remuneration

A base hourly rate ranging from $33.59 – $37.06 includes casual loading + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements

- Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months.
