The Role

Make a difference in our community by leading our Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Team to deliver child-centred, family-focused, flexible services to some of our most vulnerable families.

In this role you will:

- Report to the MCH Service Lead and be responsible for the coordination, operation and leading out of the Enhanced Maternal and Child Health program at City of Whittlesea

- Embed best practice standards within the Enhanced Maternal and Child Health program in alignment with the relevant Frameworks and Guidelines and strive to achieve excellence using best practice and quality assurance measures

- Provide guidance and leadership to the Enhanced Maternal and Child Health team and work to ensure we meet the high expectations of our diverse and growing community

- Ensure we continue to achieve professional practice standards, developing efficient and effective systems while working in collaboration with other leaders across the Child and Family Health Unit and the wider organisation

- Foster a collaborative and a positive culture across the Enhanced team and across the Department and wider organisation

About you

- Current AHPRA Registration as Division 1 Nurse and Midwife

- Post Graduate Qualifications in Child & Family Health recognised in Victoria

- Previous experience as an Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Nurse

- Working with Children Check

- Minimum 5 years' experience working in MCH with Leadership experience

- A strategic thinker with a keen interest in working in an innovative, supportive, and dynamic team with an enthusiasm towards service excellence and collaborative relationships

- Have advanced reflective, interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work with clinicians and leaders from a variety of backgrounds

- A strong collaborative mindset and approach to build and maintain relationships with both Internal and External Stakeholders and a highly developed ability to problem solve

- Clinical Supervision training or willingness to undertake training
