Yard Worker – Bitumen Logistics – Darwin Projects for local Candidates ONLY
You must currently be based in Darwin
Darwin’s Bitumen scene is looking for a reliable and motivated Yard Worker to join their growing team. This company specialises in logistics, with operations already established across Australia.
This is a long term opportunity for someone mechanically minded and eager to learn. You’ll be working with bitumen containers, connecting equipment to generators, managing fuel, and recording temperature data via paperwork and computers.
Responsibilities
- Heating bitumen
- Connecting wires to generators
- Fuel management and temperature recording
- General yard duties and equipment handling
What’s on Offer
- $38 per hour + penalties
- Monday to Friday, 38 hours/week local
- Saturday work available during busy periods locally
- The potential for remote away work after a couple of months
- 12-hour days – huge penalties to be paid
- Project work 9/6 or 14/7 roster
- LAHA paid
Ideal Candidate
- Mechanically minded and physically fit
- Motivated and looking for stable, long term work
- Able to complete paperwork and basic usage on a computer
- Comfortable with remote and rugged work environments
- Desirable: White Card, MC Licence, Reach Stacker ticket
