The Early Intervention Manager will provide proactive, high-quality early intervention to injured workers and employers through personalised face-to-face assistance, following notification of a psychological injury. Managing a portfolio and working with the claims team this role will enable you to facilitate effective workplace-based co-ordination of a timely and safe return to work that benefits an injured worker's recovery and helps employers manage their workers' compensation obligations. This role will be a great fit for a rehabilitation consultant with a focus on early intervention practices.

This will be a permanent, full time position based in the Sydney office, with flexibility to work from home for up to 3 days per week.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

- Conduct community-based visits inclusive of but not limited to worksites or medical case conferences, within the first few days of incident notification.

- Provide accurate and complete information that is consistent and easy to understand (including options about claims, entitlements, obligations & responsibilities).

- Work closely with a variety of stakeholders including workers, employers and treatment providers, to assist them navigate the process of a workers compensation claim.

- Actively measure, monitor, and review the effectiveness of early intervention involvement.

- Drive continuous improvement in the space of early intervention facilitation.

- Maintain awareness of industry developments and trends and provide recommendations for changes

ABOUT YOU

- Current Driver's License (mandatory).
- At least 5 years demonstrated experience in the co-ordination and facilitation of early intervention practices.
- Tertiary studies in Allied Health (Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling) is required.
- Qualification aligned to Occupational Rehabilitation, Psychology, Case Management or Mediation.
- Customer service experience.
- Experience working within the workers compensation industry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A strong focus on mediating and facilitating reconciliation between parties.
