Elevate your career to a Higher Altitude Are you an experienced Commercial Driver with excellent leadership capabilities willing to lead our Airside team on shift? At dnata catering & retail, the sky's truly the limit We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Leading Hand to join our Customer Delivery team in Darwin. The position will ensure the delivery of service to all customers in line with operational schedules and safety requirements.

In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are:

Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate team members in the Customer Delivery department
- Ensuring productivity and performance criteria are met in the designated area of responsibility, including completion of regular performance assessment reports;
- Assist supervision of catering trucks within a designated work area to ensure they reach and load-up all aircraft safely and on schedule.
- Lead by example and perform all the duties of a Driver.
- Supervise, train and induct workers within a designated work area.
- Organise and coordinate work within the designated work area
- Perform administrative and reporting duties as required
- Follows up on any discrepancies and ensures all flight deliveries are correct
- Carry out various administrative and reporting duties, including the operation of communication and computer aids.

What you need to be successful

- Demonstrating leadership, decision making and organisational skills necessary to efficiently meet performance requirements in a changing work environment.
- Hands on and display leadership by example
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must hold and maintain possession of a valid ASIC card
- Must hold and maintain possession of a valid Australian state/territory MR or greater driver’s license as well as the authority to drive airside ADA
- Fork Lift license preferred yet not essential
- First Aid Certificate & WHS qualifications preferred
- Flexibility in working around flight schedules is essential (7 day per week operation)
- A clean Police Record as part of mandatory checks required
