We are seeking qualified Heavy Vehicle Technician’s to join Volvo Commercial Vehicles (VCV) Brisbane North, based in Pinkenba. Volvo Commercial Vehicles (VCV) Australia are Volvo Group owned distribution centre’s for Volvo Trucks, Mack Trucks , UD Trucks and Volvo Buses. At VCV we encompass sales, service and parts for Volvo Group vehicles.

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the team of roughly 43 is made up of Mechanics, Auto-Electricians, Trades Assistants, Apprentices, Service Advisor’s and Costing Clerk’s. The team pride themselves on running a quality and highly efficient operation, in a supportive team environment. The Brisbane North dealership is based in Pinkenba, with ample parking on site, and reliable food and coffee vans who never forget us along their routes Our shifts run from 6:30am to 2:30pm and 2:30pm to 10:30pm. Our afternoon shift as the greatest need for Technician's at the moment.

What you will do

As a Heavy Vehicle Technician, you will work primarily on our Volvo, Mack and UD brands. Your role will include:

- Steering and suspension repairs
- Electrical faults, diagnosis and repairs
- Braking systems diagnosis and repairs
- Preventative maintenance services and repairs
- Offisite and breakdown repairs

Who are you?

At VCV we believe your behaviours and characteristics are just as important as your technical ability. You will have:

- Certificate III Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology qualification or equivalent
- Proven experience working in a commercial environment on trucks and / or buses
- Some exposure to light auto-electrical work
- A pro-active attitude with a drive to work efficiently
- A positive safety attitude with a team-focused mindset
- A passion for providing quality work
- Appropriate working rights to work permanently in Australia
