Position Overview:
Become part of the Event Cinemas Cairns team at our three locations - Cairns Central, Earlville and Smithfield.
About the role:
- Contribute to daily operations, upholding standards and pursuing best practice
- Subject to knowledge and skill at this level, a frontline team member may operate flexibly as required between work areas
- Provides exemplary customer service and executes tasks associated with supporting the operation of a cinema entertainment complex to the highest standard
- A team member at this level has completed induction and training to attain the competency required to perform work within the scope of this level
Key responsibilities
- Complete duties as per standard operating procedures
- Continuously monitor and consistently deliver customer service to a high standard. Ensures a positive experience for all patrons by prioritising and attending to their needs proactively.
- Address and handle minor customer feedback, ensuring prompt resolution while maintaining a positive customer experience
- Prepare food and beverages for sale, ensuring a high standard of quality and product presentation.
- Maintain product stock levels and presentation, in accordance with planograms where applicable.
- Operate registers, ticketing systems and undertake cash handling
- Assist fellow employees as needed, fostering a cooperative and supportive work environment.
- Conduct thorough and precise opening, closing and shift change-over procedures for the relevant area.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene through diligent cleaning practices throughout the cinema complex
- Queue management and crowd control including allocated seating management.
- Performs regular checks of ticketing, auditoriums and public access areas. Action and/or report issuesas appropriate to skill and knowledge at this level.
- Support on-screen presentation by monitoring, actioning and/or reporting film quality, in-cinema comfort and ambiance issues.
- Lost property maintenance
- Follow Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures including emergency procedures
- Attend and complete all mandatory training sessions as designated by EVT
- RSA Qualifications as required
Skills and Experience
These are the desired skills and experience for this role:
- Competent in basic Maths and English
- Competent in cash handling
- Flexibility to work a mix of shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- Experience in hospitality or a customer facing role is strongly desired
- Ability to work across our three locations in Cairns (Central, Earlville & Smithfield) is advantageous
