Chef De Partie | Patterson Lakes

We are looking for a talented and passionate Full Time Chef De Partie to join the PLG team at The Cove Hotel in Patterson Lakes. You’ll have the opportunity to manage a designated kitchen section, supervise junior staff, and assist the team with menu development.

The Cove Hotel is a premier dining and entertainment venue offering one of the most spectacular water views right on the marina in Patterson Lakes. The bistro offers contemporary casual dining in a relaxed setting; catering to both the traditional indoor style seating by the fireplace and an enclosed deck area capturing the view of the marina. Responsibilities

- Maintaining control and leadership in the kitchen during service times in allocated sections.
- Assist with the induction of new employees when required.
- Maintain professional relationships with external supplies.
- Prepare and cook menu as per cooking guidelines and set standards.
- Work in conjunction with the head chef to develop and implement a menu.
- Ensure all staff follow safety procedures.

The role you are applying for may be quite fast‑paced and require you to complete tasks including but not limited to lifting boxes, kegs or stock, standing for long periods of time, and utilising stairs.

Requirements

- Hold a Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Food Handlers Certificate.
- Experience working in a pub/bistro fast‑paced environment.
- Well‑versed in all kitchen areas with hands‑on experience.
- Ability to follow and give directions when required.
- Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Full working rights in Australia.
