Position: Permanent full‑time teaching position commencing Term 1, 2026.

About The School

Comet Bay College is a modern, innovative Independent Public School that caters for Year 7‑12 students and is located one kilometre from the coast in the vibrant community of Secret Harbour. The College boasts state‑of‑the‑art facilities that include specialist science laboratories, a lecture theatre, fitness centre, metal fabrication centre, a modern industrial food studio and graphics/mechatronics studio.

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated pedagogical leader for the role of Instructional Coach. The successful applicant will support staff professional development and learning, building teacher capacity to effectively utilise the College Instructional Framework.

This position entails a 0.4 face‑to‑face teaching load and is ideally suited for an accomplished teacher aspiring to develop leadership skills.

The successful applicant will ideally have access to professional learning and mentoring from the executive team and will work across the College with staff from all learning areas.

Responsibilities

- Provide instructional coaching to staff, supporting professional growth and improvement of educational outcomes.

- Implement high‑impact instruction and innovative approaches to improve outcomes for both high and low achieving students.

- Facilitate lesson observation, feedback cycles and differentiate curriculum.

- Collaborate in a team environment and build collective efficacy.

Qualifications and Expectations

- Student‑ and relationship‑focused teacher with strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence.

- Experience in effective instructional coaching principles and high‑impact instruction.

- Experience in lesson observation and feedback cycles.

- Strong interest and experience in differentiating curriculum and implementing innovative approaches.
