About the Centre:

Eastbrooke Ambrose Family Medical in Mackay (Part of Bupa)is a one-stop Health Hub facility offering a comprehensive range of on-site health and medical facilities. These include a Medical Centre, Treatment Room, Pharmacy, Pathology, Paediatric Services and Physiotherapy, various Specialists and a wide range of Allied Health practitioners. As a Practice Manager you'll be benefiting from an experienced practice team, exceptional development and opportunities to take you as far as you want to go; and that's just to mention a few.

Medical experience is obviously a bonus, but this role is also a great career step for Store Managers in retail and any other people managementroles that fit the criteria below.

- 1 x Full Time Practice Manager (Monday to Friday)
- Coaching, leading & developing a high performing practice team in a positive environment for both staff and patients
- Assist with overall financial performance of the practice in line with the approved budget
- Maintain sterilisation, infection control standards and stock control
- Patient management; greeting and welcoming patients, answering all phone enquiries, making & confirming appointments; checking, processing & managing customer accounts
- General administration including processing payments using EFTPOS & HiCaps
- Proactively marketing your practice to drive patient numbers
- Effectively manage the recruitment & selection for all practice staff

You'll be:

- Available to work full-time, Monday to Friday
- Previous medical experience desirable but we also welcome applications from successful managers from other industries
- Prior business and people management experience essential
- Proven track record of strong organisational skills, administrative and time management
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, customer service skills and strong business acumen
- Understanding how to generate income and control costs
- Able to face into difficult conversations & deal promptly with issues when they arise
- Comfortable conversing with people from all walks of life, including doctors, patients, and your practice team
- Experienced in comprehending and managing the P&L for the practice
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, customer service skills and strong business acumen
