Medical Receptionist

CQ Medicentre is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our Reception Team in a casual capacity with the potential to grow into a part-time role in the future should the candidate be interested. We're a fun and dynamic team led by a highly supportive Practice Manager and Reception Manager that work together across our two practice locations.

CQ Medicentre is a multi-site practice situated centrally on both the Northside and Southside of Rockhampton in Central Queensland.

Your responsibilities:

1. Patient management: greeting and welcoming patients, answering phone enquiries, making and confirming appointments, checking, processing, and managing customer accounts, and assisting callers with general enquiries.

2. Maintenance of the Best Practice patient database.

3. Processing and receipting payments using TYRO, DVA, Workcover, and Medicare billing.

4. General housekeeping and upkeep of reception area and Doctors consulting rooms.

About you

You are an experienced Receptionist who can work autonomously and efficiently. You are motivated, enthusiastic, and enjoy being part of a fun and dynamic team.

Skills & Experience:

1. Minimum 12 months experience as a medical receptionist (required).

2. Experience with Best Practice software (preferred).

3. Familiar with processing and receipting payments using TYRO, DVA, Workcover, and Medicare billings.

4. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.

5. Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

6. Reliable and punctual.

Casual / Part-time hourly rate in accordance with Fair Work, covered under the Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2020 (Modern Award), dependent on your level of experience. We also offer flexibility in working hours and days, including consideration of school hours if needed.
