We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading EPC contractor specialising in the delivery of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across Australia. With a number of active and upcoming projects, they are seeking a skilled Contracts Administrator to join the team on a 6-month contract based in Melbourne.

Role Overview
The Contracts Administrator will be responsible for supporting the commercial and contractual management of major BESS projects. Working closely with project managers and other stakeholders, this role will focus on contract execution, compliance, risk mitigation, and change control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in reviewing, negotiating, and administering EPC and subcontractor agreements
- Track and manage contract milestones, deliverables, and obligations
- Maintain contract documentation and records to support compliance and auditing
- Support the management of variations, claims, and contract amendments
- Monitor commercial risks and escalate issues where appropriate
- Work with internal teams to ensure alignment with project timelines and objectives
- Contribute to contract close-out processes at the end of project phases

Candidate Requirements

- Tertiary qualification in Business, Law, Construction Management, Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years' experience in contract administration within EPC, construction, or energy projects
- Exposure to battery storage, renewable energy, or infrastructure projects preferred
- Solid understanding of contractual terms, risk frameworks, and compliance requirements
- Strong communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
- Able to commit to a 6-month contract with potential for extension depending on project needs
