Salary: Teacher, $85,610 - $124,016 per annum (pro-rata) (SEA GA 2023)

We are seeking to establish a pool of Teachers - Mathematics for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The School

John Curtin College of the Arts is a leader in public education. Our college caters for 1750 students from Years 7 to 12 who come to us through the seven Gifted and Talented programs run by the college for children identified as gifted in the creative domain, including; Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Drama, Media Arts, Music, Music Theatre and Visual Arts, as well as through a small local catchment or participation in our Soccer Excellence Program, making the college a unique learning environment. The Role

Suitable applicants will ideally be innovative and highly motivated educators with a deep understanding of mathematics coupled with the ability to effectively engage students in their learning. They will ideally have the ability to provide evidence-based quality teaching in the mathematics curriculum area and work effectively as part of dedicated team. They should have a passion for their curriculum area and a deep understanding of instructional strategies to effectively engage students in the learning process and will differentiate their lessons to meet the needs of individual learners. Applicants with recent experience and evidenced results teaching the Mathematics Specialist course will be highly regarded.

Suitable applicants should be reflective practitioners who actively engage in activities to improve their professional practice. They will ideally possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be collaborative members of the whole school community, embracing the school’s vision, values and strategic directions.
