In the role of Senior Associate, you will report to the NAB Ventures Executive, that’s doubling down on winning together.

In this Senior Associate role, you will

- Identifying attractive investment opportunities.

- Initiating, maintaining relationships with entrepreneurs and interacting with other venture investors, advisors, and colleagues at NAB.

- Participating in the deal closing process.

- Developing investment insights into areas of interest to the fund.

- Undertaking various work related to supporting existing portfolio companies.

- Collaborating with the team in all areas, but with a particular emphasis on providing financial analysis and due diligence support related to closing investment opportunities.

- Building relationships with business leaders and an understanding of the industry, market & competitor trends.

What you’ll bring

- Prior work experience ideally at a venture capital fund, investment bank or consulting firm. Those with operating experience in business development, sales, product management or financial analyst roles will also be considered.

- Excellent quantitative analysis and financial modelling skills.

- Stakeholder management, relationship building, and strong communication skills with a proven track record engaging with and collaborating with the team, wider bank stakeholders and business sponsors, in addition to partners and at times other third parties.

- Ability to think on your feet and to communicate up and down business streams (both verbally and in writing).

- Demonstrable ability to build financial models and perform quantitative analysis necessary to assess unit economics and financial soundness.

- An established industry network within the Melbourne/Sydney venture capital and entrepreneurial community.

- Relevant tertiary qualifications, for example Business, Economics or Engineering.
