Esk Grand Hotel is looking for a Permanent, Full Time Cook who is passionate about excellent food. If successful, you will work beside a very well-established team of Chefs. Our Menu consists of Hotel Food and Restaurant Specials of the Day. The position advertised is for a Cook to work collaboratively with our Head Chef, Chefs and Kitchen Staff. We are very passionate about quality food and need someone with a similar ethos. We have an excellent reputation for food as it is the core component of our business. Located in Esk, just over 1 hour from Brisbane we are a recently renovated hotel with a seating capacity of over 200 people. We are looking for a person who is calm under pressure, takes pride in what they serve and is able to work as a team, in a busy kitchen.
Skills Required:

• Cook Meals by following the recipes and instructions set by our team of Chefs.

• Daily preparation for upcoming meals.

• Maintain a clean, hygienic, organised workspace and kitchen.

• Adherence to recipes.

• Have good knife skills.

• Work collaboratively with our team of Chefs. This includes gaining experience from their mentorship.

• Observe, record and report temperatures as part of our kitchen food safety practices. Follow all requirements in maintaining the Food Safety Plan.

• Hold a Food Handlers Certificate or equivalent

• Checking of stock as part of key cooking practices.
Requirements for this Role:

• 2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this role

• Full time hours

Salary – $76,515 plus superannuation.
