The Role
Abervale Retirement Village, located in Grovedale, is currently seeking an enthusiastic, committed, and reliable Cook on a permanent Part-Time basis.
Reporting to the Head Chef, your duties will include:
- Providing quality food service to residents and assisting with kitchen operations and events
- Food preparation and cooking according to the set menu
- Cleaning and maintaining work stations to food safety standards
- Working with the Kitchen Assistant to serve meals (approx. 25 servings per day)
- Assisting with cleaning up after dining service
Your Background
- Experience in café or restaurant food operations
- Relevant cooking experience or a Cert 4 in hospitality or commercial cookery
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Strong customer service focus
Shifts
- Permanent Part-Time – 5 days per fortnight
- Friday (10:30 AM - 6:30 PM)
- Sunday (10:30 AM - 6:30 PM)
- Every second Saturday (10:30 AM - 6:30 PM)
- Occasional extra hours may be required

Additional Information
The successful applicant must complete a Police Check and receive an annual flu vaccination between April and October, with documentation. Pre-employment medical assessments may also be required for some roles.
