About the Opportunity:
HOPE has been making a difference in Western Australia for over 120 years, providing vital support in areas like alcohol and drug services, mental health, family violence, and more. As a People & Culture Business Partner, you'll partner with managers and leadership teams to support HR practices that align with HOPE's mission and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations
- Work closely with managers to cultivate positive, trusting relationships and address employee relations issues. Coach and guide managers to proactively manage conflicts and employee challenges.
- Provide advice and coaching to managers on performance management, including career development, disciplinary actions, and resolving grievances.
Workforce Management
- Support managers with performance reviews and succession planning to ensure team capabilities meet current and future organisational needs.
- Assist managers in engaging their teams, using supervision discussions and employee reviews to boost individual and team performance.
Culture, Diversity, and Inclusion
- Champion diversity and inclusion, driving culturally secure HR practices to ensure inclusivity for Aboriginal, CALD, and LGBTQIA+ employees.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve employee engagement, wellbeing, and job satisfaction.
Talent Acquisition & Retention
- Collaborate with the Talent Partner to develop strategies for sourcing talent, particularly for remote and hard-to-fill roles.
Learning, Development, and Capability Building
- Collaborate with managers to identify skill gaps and needs, supporting workforce development initiatives.
- Training & Development: Partner with the P&C team and external training providers to deliver training programs that develop the capabilities of our team to meet current and future needs.
Building Relationships
- Drive Business Partnering Approach: Build and maintain strong relationships with managers and leaders, driving a business partnering approach that contributes to organisational effectiveness.
About You:
- Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Employee Relations, or a similar field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a People and Culture Advisor or Generalist, with proven experience in partnering with managers to achieve business goals.
- HR Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of current HR practices, employee relations, and employment regulations.
- Commitment to Diversity: A demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of HR.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience working in community services organisations or similar sectors.
- Experience as a People and Culture Business Partner or in other senior HR roles.
Additional Information:
Appointments will be subject to Australian residency/visa, satisfactory National Police check (within 3 months), Working with Children Card, and a current C or A class driver's license.
